Homes of Hope Handing Over Ceremony – Manarani Village, Kilifi

On the 1st  November 2025, Asante Aid convened a joyful Homes of Hope handing-over ceremony in Manarani Village, Kilifi County, Kenya. The event marked a milestone in our mission to restore dignity and transform lives through safe housing, clean water, and mobility.

We were privileged to host our visiting partners from the United States:

• Wayne Weaver, President of Shelter Equity
• Jennee Galland, Vice President of Global Development, Shelter Equity

Their presence underscored the strong partnership that makes these life-changing projects possible.

Together, we oversaw the official handing over of:

•   Newly built homes for families in need
•   Community solar-powered water-pumped borehole and tower, serving over 300 people with clean water
•   Durable bicycles to ease mobility for families

The joy was palpable as families stepped into their new homes and the community celebrated the gift of clean water and sustainable facilities.

Beyond the celebrations, we gathered with community members still on our waiting list. They came in numbers to share their needs and hopes for the future. Their voices remind us of the urgent demand for safe housing and the long journey ahead.

We shared cake with the community to mark the success achieved so far, symbolizing unity, gratitude, and the promise of more milestones to come.
